From there, the journey continues on a bumpy road to the starting point of the Lemosho route. Hikers embark on a moderate trek through the lush rainforest, surrounded by diverse flora and fauna. The first day's destination is the Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa).
After breakfast, the trek resumes towards the Shira One Camp. The trail gradually gains altitude, leaving the rainforest behind and entering the heath and moorland zone.
