This 2-day and 1 night trip to Lake Mburo National Park offers an amazing getaway to give you a feeling of whispers in the wilderness .
Lake Mburo National Park, known as the ‘Whisper of the Wild’ combines a series of activities such as games drive, boat cruise safari, nature walks, game walks and spot fishing provided by the local inhabitants since the lake has fishing villages. The park also has the highest concentration of zebra in Uganda, and optional activities such as a horse-riding safari can also be booked.
The Park is the smallest of Uganda’s national parks and its located in the western part of the country along Kampala – Mbarara Highway in the districts of (Mbarara, Isingiro). Lake Mburo National park is also blessed with over 5 lakes within the national park, some of which are open lakes and others being swampy lakes. There is a high diversity of flora and fauna and you can expect to see Zebras, antelopes like the Topi and Eland, Hippos, Crocodiles and a large number of bird species. Your 2-day safari will be great fun in the small but diverse Lake Mburo National Park.

After breakfast you will be picked up and we shall drive towards Lake Mburo National Park with a stopover for lunch before proceeding to the park. While in the park you will get the chance to see groups of Zebra, Impala, Topi, Giraffe, Buffalo and Eland. After checking in at the lodge and after a short rest we will drive out to embark on a 2 hour boat ride on Lake Mburo to sight both land and water mammals such as Hippos and Buffaloes, while many different birds compliment the scenic views within the nature of Lake Mburo. We shall drive back to the lodge to enjoy dinner and overnight rest.

After a cup of tea of coffee we shall head for an early morning walk to see animals and nature on foot and after this wonderful experience we will return to the lodge for a hot breakfast. Having checked out of the lodge we will go for another short game drive through the park an before commencing the journey back to Kampala capital. A stopover will be made at the Equator line where there will be an opportunity to view and purchase curios and souvenirs before proceeding to Kampala in the mood for lunch, with a drop off in Kampala or Entebbe.
